Nancy Lou Ammenhauser, 84, of Ottumwa, died at 10:05 p.m. November 10, 2020 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born October 20, 1936 in Centerville, IA to Fred and Mildred A. Barnhill Gollaher. Nancy married Robert D. Ammenhauser August 28, 1954 and he preceded her in death March 22, 2002.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Nancy had worked at Easter’s as a cashier and clerk for 38 years.
Nancy was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation.
She was an avid word search puzzle fan, loved her flowers, watching birds and especially having her family around.
Surviving are her children, Pam (Steve) Utterback of Colorado; Chris Ammenhauser and Sue (Ron) Balducki both of Ottumwa; 2 grandchildren, Erik (Belinda) Utterback of Illinois and Kailey (Brenden) Hills of Knoxville; a great-grandson, Ethan Utterback; 2 brothers, Bill (Marilyn) Gollaher of Texas and Jerry Gollaher of Cathedral City, CA.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Lee Ammenhauser; her siblings, Shirley Swegarden, Betty McGinnis, Jack Gollaher and Bob Gollaher.
Limited open visitation will be 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday November 15th at Reece Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rfh-ia.com.
Private graveside services and burial will be at Shaul Cemetery with Father Jim Betzen C.PP.S. officiating.
Memorials may be made to St. Mary of the Visitation or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
