Betty Jean Webster, 88, of Ottumwa, died at 8:30 a.m. December 16, 2020.

She was born July 16, 1932 in Ottumwa to Bert and Edna Mendenhall McKeever. She married David Duane “Butch” Webster and he preceded her in death October 19, 1993.

A 1950 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Betty had worked at Universal Rundle and South Hy-Vee and was a stay-at-home-mother while raising her children.

Betty volunteered with the Ottumwa Regional Health Center Auxiliary and the McCreery Cancer Center as well as Lifeline.
Surviving are her children, David “Michael” Webster and Sharon Kay Webster, both of Ottumwa, Karen (Ron) Wagner of Ft. Madison, and Brian (Tamara) Webster of Omaha, NE; 6 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers, Roy, Lewis and Paul McKeever; and a sister, Genevieve Moore.
Limited open visitation for friends will be from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, December 18th at Reece Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rfh-ia.com.

Private funeral services will be held at Reece Funeral Home. For those not able to be at the service, you may watch live at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 18th on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in McCormick Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
