Connie Rupe

Connie Kay Rupe, 70, of Eddyville, Iowa passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021 at Bickford Assisted Living in Iowa City, Iowa, surrounded by her family.

Connie was born September 15, 1950 in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Robert and Audrey More McMullin of Agency, Iowa. She was raised in Batavia until she married Max Rupe on March 23, 1969, after which they resided in Eddyville. Connie worked at ASC for over 10 years and Musco Lighting in Oskaloosa for over 20 years until her retirement in 2013.

Surviving is her husband of 52 years, Max Rupe; their daughter, Dana Rupe (Jeff); two sisters and one brother, Cheryl (Don) Timmins of Altoona, Nancy Webb of Agency and Neal (Cheryl) McMullin of Batavia; and many in-laws, nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, Jack, Richard and Jim.

A true daughter of the plains, Connie loved nothing more than being outdoors, watching the seasons progress from her home on the hill, and holding close those whom she loved dearly, most notably Max and Dana.

Her body has been cremated.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, April 9th at Pleasant Corners Cemetery in Eddyville. Visitation will follow the service at the family farm, 1302 720th Ave, Eddyville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Connie’s memory to the Greater Iowa Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org/iowa.
