Carol Elaine Paxton, 79, of Ottumwa, died at 7:02 a.m. April 18, 2021 at the home of her daughter.

She was born May 2, 1941 in Belknap, IA to Clarence Vernon and Ruth Burrows Pilcher. She married Donald Verle Turner June 27, 1958. He preceded her in death September 11, 1984. She married Gilbert R. Paxton June 24, 1989. He preceded her in death August 1, 2019.

Surviving are two daughters, Diana Clark and Dixie Turner both of Ottumwa; 2 grandchildren, Erica Clark and Donnie Turner; a great-granddaughter, Emily Clark; a brother, Gordon (Barb) Pilcher of Fairfield; sister-in-law, Sally Pilcher of Ottumwa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and his wife, Shirley Pilcher, Charles Pilcher; and an infant sister, Eva Kathlena.

Open visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 21st at Reece Funeral Home.

Private family visitation and graveside services will be held. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery in Richland.

Memorials may be made to Hospice Serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
