Sheri Heisdorffer

Sheri Lynn Heisdorffer, 65, of rural Hedrick, died May 2, 2021 at home.

She was born May 20, 1955 in Jefferson, IA to Ora Dean and Shirley Sims Clark. Sheri married Duane Heisdorffer on August 14, 1976.

A graduate of Jefferson High School, she attended AIB and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Buena Vista University. She worked for 28 years at Indian Hills Community College, retiring in 2017.

Sheri was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation, had been a leader for Competine 4-H Club, and a member of the local card club. Sheri loved to camp, decorate, garden and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving is her husband, Duane; her children, Sarah Heisdorffer of Marion and Kevin (Jamie) Heisdorffer of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Noah and Britta; her mother, Shirley Clark of Jefferson; sister, Cindy (Doug) Goodrich of Coralville; brother, David (Sam Elias) Clark of Sherman Oaks, CA; many nieces and nephews; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dennis (Joanne) Heisdorffer of Hedrick, Marlene Beadle of Albia and Carla Heisdorffer of Florida.

She was preceded in death by her father, Dean Clark; sister, Sandy Durbala; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Lee Heisdorffer, Gary Heisdorffer, Paul Beadle, Karen and Larry Blomme.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present to greet friends from 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. A Christian Wake will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. For those unable to attend the service, you may watch it live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page.

Cremation will follow the Christian Wake.

Memorial Mass will be 2 p.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Visitation with Father James Betzen C.PP.S. presiding. For those unable to attend you may watch it live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page.

Inurnment will be in Competine Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Wapello County 4-H or Indian Hills Community College Foundation.
