Martha Marie Martin, 87, of Ottumwa, died at 2:34 p.m. July 26, 2021 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born April 27, 1934 in Ottumwa in the family home to Jesse Homer and Martha Marie Jones.
A 1953 graduate of Ottumwa High School, she had been a resident of Ottumwa most of her life.
Martha worked for 3 years at the Oskaloosa Overall Company until they closed and then she focused on raising her children.
She loved crocheting, cooking, sewing and watching soap operas.
Surviving are her children, Angela (Steve) Smith of Hedrick, Jeffrey Martin and Rodger (Lori) Martin both of Ottumwa; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Jones of Bloomfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Scott Allen Martin; a sister, Marcella McKinley; a brother, James Jones; a daughter-in-law, Carol Martin and her life partner, Bobby Millhouse.
Her body has been cremated.
Graveside services and inurnment will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 29th, at Shaul Cemetery with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating.
Memorials may be made to the family.
