Brian Nicholas Beghtol, 32, of Ottumwa, died as a result of a tragic accident at 9 p.m. July 30, 2021 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
He was born May 27, 1989 in Ottumwa to Robert Thomas and Lynnette Jean Brandt Beghtol. He married Ericka Lindy McClure December 24, 2016.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 2007, while in high school Brian worked at Econo Foods, Sirloin Stockade and a summer for the Ottumwa Parks Department. For the past 14 years he has worked as an Electrician for Winger Contracting Co. He was a member of IBEW Local #13.
Brian was a member of the Ottumwa Coin Club and a lifetime member of ABATE of Iowa District #14. He enjoyed attending flea markets, spending time with friends and especially playing with his daughter.
Surviving is his wife, Ericka; their daughter, Jillian Ava Beghtol; his parents, Lynnette Beghtol of Ottumwa and Robert “Beagle” (Sherri) Beghtol of Ottumwa; mother-in-law, Linda McClure; brother-in-law, Richard McClure; uncles, Willard Dee (Lorretta) Beghtol, Gordon Brandt and Randy Brandt; several cousins and many friends including Richard Atwell and Wes VanAntwerp.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and father-in-law, Rick McClure.
Visitation will be open after 11 a.m. Thursday, August 5th at Reece Funeral Home. His family will be present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 6th at Reece Funeral Home. For those unable to attend the service, it may be viewed live on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
