AUDREY GEMOULES
OTTUMWA-Audrey E. Gemoules, 87, of #1 Pennsylvania Place, died at 3 a.m. October 4, 2016 at Vista Woods Care Center.
She was born February 26, 1929 in Racine, WI to Earl B. and Beatrice Rost Snyder. She married Fred C. Gemoules on June 2, 1950.
Audrey earned a B.A. from Parsons College and a M.A. from Northeast Missouri State University and taught for 21 years in Fremont Community Schools. She retired in 1991.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church where she had served as an Elder. She was also a member of P.E.O. and had been a member of American Association of University Women and Ottumwa Women’s Club.
Surviving is her husband, Fred; a son, Craig Gemoules of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Carol Felsheim of Green Bay, WI.
She was preceded in death by a son, Brian Gemoules and a brother, David Snyder.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. David Klanderman officiating. Burial will be in Ottumwa Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with the family present from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday.
A memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church.
