KAROL SHAW
EDDYVILLE-Karol E. Shaw, 60, of 304 Walnut, died November 23, 2016 at her home.
She was born on December 2, 1955 in Ottumwa to Dwight Grant and Fontelle Joy Hardy Leedom. She married Gary Howard in 1974 and they later divorced.
A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Karol had worked for Everco for 8 years and 11 months.
Karol loved animals and was an in-home care provider for the sick and elderly.
Surviving is her son, Aaron Howard of Moline, IL; her companion, Bevan Hol; two brothers, Randy D. (Sharon) Leedom of Eddyville, Thomas E. (Dawn) Lee of Wichita, KS; two sisters, Kathi (Jim) Sullivan of Indianola and Molly J. (Michael) Grace of Oskaloosa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home with Dan Smith officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the family present from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to the family.
