Sandra L. Burnett, 73, died at 6:16 a.m. October 27, 2024 at her home.
She was born February 12, 1951 in Ottumwa to James and Twila Pettit Rupe. She married Ron Burnett November 26, 1969.
Sandra was a 1969 graduate of Cardinal High School. She enjoyed painting ceramics, doing puzzles and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her world.
Surviving is her husband Ron; a son, Mike (Amanda) Burnett of Fenton, MO; a daughter, Jennifer (Brandon) Petrehn of Hedrick; three grandchildren, Maddy and Annie Petrehn, Hannah Burnett; three sisters, Stephanie (Steve) Johnson and Lori Rupe (Lynne Bridgford) both of CO, Brenda Rupe of IL; a brother, Bob (Connie) Huff; a brother-in-law, John Barnett; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Becky Heston and Sherry Barnett; a brother, Steve Rupe.
Her body has been cremated. No services are planned at this time.
