It is with great sorrow that we share the news of Tim Ratliff, 59, from Bloomfield, Iowa, sudden passing from this earth after a cardiac event on October 27, 2024.
He was born in Borger, Texas, to Perry and Donna Ratliff, sharing his birthday with his twin sister, Tamra, who always reminded him she was three minutes older. Tim was an amazingly huge hearted person known as a gentle giant and for his creative sarcasm. He would give you the shirt off his back if you were in need and always a gentleman with a “yes sir” attitude. He knew that anything worth having was worth working hard for. People knew him in many roles; a son, brother, father, husband and dedicated caretaker. We will always carry his memory in our hearts.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Donna Ratliff; sister, Kimberly Ratliff; grandparents, Sig and Everal Fauske, W. C. and Audrey Ratliff; and his wife, Marilyn Black- Ratliff.
He is survived by his brother, Daniel Ratliff; sister, Catherine Ratliff Wills (Larry), twin sister, Tamra Ratliff Bush (Jim), step-daughter, Kari Naill; girlfriend, Kathleen Kelsey and her family; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
A celebration of life will be held at the American Legion in Bloomfield on Friday November 1, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. If you would like to send flowers, you may do so by visiting waglerfuneralhome.com.
