DODDIE BATRES
OTTUMWA-Doddie Gale Batres, 54, of 224 S. Moore St. died at 6:57 a.m. March 6, 2017 at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born November 11, 1962 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Charles Coker and Francine L. Smith. She married Jaime Guevara-Betencourt and they later divorced. She married Francisco Batres on November 9, 1995.
Doddie lived most of her life in Denver, CO, moving to Ottumwa in 2008. She had been a caregiver for many years.
Surviving is her husband, Francisco; her children, James Guevara of Denver, CO and Benita Guevara of Portland, OR; 2 grandchildren, Miguel Rodriguez and Abraham Tapia; and her mother, Francine Smith of Portland, OR.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Victor Valdez Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery.
Visitation with the family present will be 1 hour prior to the service.
