John Edward Essary, 89, of Eldon, IA was called home Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Jefferson County Healthcare Center in Fairfield, IA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at the Cranston Family Funeral Home in Eldon with Pastor Dave Albert officiating. A luncheon will be held at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon immediately following the service. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday and last until the time of service. As were John’s wishes, his body will be cremated. A graveside burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Eldon Cemetery.
