Earl Eugene Stocker, 87, of Carlisle, formerly of Ottumwa, died at 12:05 a.m. April 1, 2018 at Carlisle Center for Wellness & Rehabilitation.
He was born November 16, 1930 in Ottumwa to Eugene and Fern Wheaton Stocker. He married Bonnie L. Smith on December 3, 1951.
Earl was a graduate of Ottumwa High School and Northeast Missouri State College. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Earl was a machinist and plant supervisor.
He was a member of the Eddyville Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M.
Surviving is his wife, Bonnie; his children, Cathie (David) Yakum of Des Moines, Cindy (Jim) Lasky of Liberty, MO, Phillip Earl Stocker of Simi Valley CA, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and a brother, Glenn Stocker of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and a brother, Richard Stocker.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jon Disburg officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military services conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion.
Visitation with the family present will be one hour prior to the service.
