Deanna Bell

Deanna L. Bell, 54, of Ottumwa died at 4:15 p.m. November 7, 2020 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

She was born July 7, 1966 in Ottumwa to Donald and Beverly Tutor Bennett.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School in 1984, she received her bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at Buena Vista University.

She had worked at Crest Services and was the owner of Spare Time Lanes that she opened in 1995.

Deanna was a member of the Boot Scooters Club at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #114 in Ottumwa. She loved going on cruises, animals and her grandchildren and family was her pride and joy.

Surviving are two daughters; Kayla Wyers (Todd Deutschle) of Hedrick and Kristi (Caleb) Hale of Floris; six grandchildren, Alleah Wyers, Aydon, Cyler and Kayson Hale; her extended grandchildren, Kale, Kaison and Landon; her father, Donald Bennett of Florida; a brother, Wade (Sue) Bennett of Ottumwa; two sisters, Cathy (Bob) Davis of Bloomfield and Leeann (Ryan) Wade of Florida; and her aunt, Katy Conder of Ottumwa.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Beverly Wells and her stepdad, Lee Wells, who was a wonderful father to her.
Her body has been cremated.

Private memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday, November 13th at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Mel Kendall officiating. For those unable to be at the service, you may watch on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
