Louise O. Fenton, 86, of Ottumwa, died at 2:39 p.m. November 7, 2020 at her home.
She was born November 3, 1934 in Ottumwa to Charles Alfred and Viola Paris Mairet. Louise married Dean G. Fenton on July 3, 1952 and he preceded her in death on November 16, 2016.
A 1952 graduate of Ottumwa High School, Louise had worked at Ottumwa Heights and later at Indian Hills Community
College. Louise loved to read, work puzzles, and create stained glass art. In her later years, she was a caregiver for her son, Scott.
Surviving are her daughters, Michel Fenton Schumacher, Vicky Rork and Ellen Fenton-Jones all of Ottumwa; 3 grandchildren, Melissa Malterer, Brian Rork and Andy Ramos; 9 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Edward Mairet of Moline, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Scott Fenton; and siblings, Dora Weeks, Joy Smith and Earl Dean Mairet.
Her body has been cremated.
Public graveside services and inurnment will be 1 p.m. Wednesday November 11th at Brushy Cemetery in Appanoose County with Pastor Richard Schlotter officiating. For those unable to attend, a time to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
