Vivian L. Newquist, 91, of Agency died at 11:50 a.m. May 26, 2021 at Vista Woods Care Center.
She was born June 25, 1929 in Kirkville, IA to Floyd and Pearl Ross Gallup. Vivian married Philip Newquist on August 17, 1949.
She was a graduate of Ottumwa High School.
Vivian was a member of Agency United Methodist Church, Agency United Methodist Women, Ottumwa Women’s Club, Ottumwa Regional Health Center Auxiliary, Agency TOPS Chapter 1281, Eldon T.T.T. Chapter I and Wapello County Historical Society.
Surviving is her husband, Philip; her children, Ronald (Kay) Newquist, Nancy (Mark) Lamis and Virginia (Ed) VanderLinden all of Agency; 5 grandchildren Robin (Phil) Wendland, Rebecca Lamis (Tim Lape), Rachel (Arthur Wang) Lamis, Michael (Mandy) VanderLinden, Stephanie (Michael) Kuhn; 2 step-grandchildren, Kenneth (Brenda) Tjaden and Kimberly Bradshaw; 9 great-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Orpha Clark and Frances Goode.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, May 29th at Reece Funeral Home. For those unable to attend the service you may watch it on the Reece Funeral Home Facebook page. Cremation will follow the services with inurnment in Agency Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be open at 11 a.m. Friday, May 28th, with the family present to greet friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday.
Memorials may be made to Vista Woods Care Center or Hospice serving Davis and Wapello Counties.
