William “Bill” D. Allbright Jr., 82, of Kirksville, MO, formerly of Ottumwa died at 2:47 p.m. October 4, 2024 at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.

He was born August 14, 1942 in Ottumwa to William D. Sr. and Margaret M. Eaves Allbright.

A graduate of Ottumwa High School, Bill had served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1963. He had worked at Everco as an inspector for 15 years and L&S Tool and Die Manufacturing in Albia where he retired in 2005.

He was a member of Worthington Baptist Church in Worthington, MO.

Surviving are his children, Pam (Russ) Doty of Unionville, MO, Kimberly Milner of Princeton, MO and Diana (Brian) Howard of Kansas City, MO; 6 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James D. Allbright; and a sister, Donna Marie Weichman.

Visitation with the family present will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 7th at Reece Funeral Home.

Graveside services and burial will be 2 p.m. Monday, October 7th at Shaul Cemetery with Pastor Roger Bushnell officiating. Military services will be conducted by Walter B. Schafer Post #775 Veterans of Foreign Wars and O.B. Nelson Post #3 American Legion.

Memorials may be made to the family for his grandchildren’s education.
