CAROLYN ORNELLAS
OTTUMWA-Carolyn Ornellas, 70, of Ottumwa died at 5:25 a.m. December 3, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
She was born January 13, 1946 in Oklahoma City, OK to I.D. and Ellen Louise Buchanan Cook.
A resident of Ottumwa since 1988, Carolyn had worked for 20 years at Northgate Pizza Hut before she retired. She had worked part time at Bridgeview.
Carolyn loved country music, working with her flowers and being outdoors.
Surviving are her children, Jimmy Whitmore Jr. of Pauls Valley, OK, Michael Whitmore and Kevin Whitmore both of Chickasha, OK and Lei Loni Parker of Ottumwa; 7 grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy Wayne Hasley of Enid, OK, Kenneth Cook of Utah, Charlene Casper of Ottumwa, Ronnie Cook of Shady Point, OK, Doyle Cook of Louisiana and Johnny Lee Cook of Amarillo, TX.
She was preceded in death by her father, I.D. Cook; her mother Louise Severs; an infant sister, Velma Lee Cook; and a brother, Glenn Cook.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Skinner officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Inurnment will be in Shaul Cemetery.
The family will be present one hour prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the family.
