Jimmie Dean Schultz, 87, of Kirkville, died December 20, 2024 at his home.
He was born November 11, 1937 in Keokuk County, IA o Earl and Lola Downing Schultz. He married Carol Kay Barker May 19, 1957.
A resident of Kirkville most of his life, he graduated from Ottumwa High School in 1956. Jim worked 20 years at John Deere Ottumwa Works, retiring in 2000.
Surviving is his wife, Kay; their 3 children, Tim (Valerie) Schultz of Pleasantville, Sandra Kay (Gary) Schultz-Steele of Ottumwa and Tom (Kathy) Schultz of Cedar; 9 grandchildren, Brandon, Eric, Patty, Josh, Daren, Kelsey, Derek, Brittany and Chaz; and 21 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Bob Schultz.
His body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 26th at Reece Funeral Home. His family will be present one hour prior to the service to greet friends. Inurnment will be in Cedar Township Memorial Cemetery in Fremont.
